Wp-Themes Blue Theme
With Wp-Themes Blue i have tried really to push the standards for how should be a free WordPress theme regarding design, clean coding and functionality. The theme have built in all important functions like thumbnail extraction from post images or using custom fields, featured content section on the homepage, built in contact form, banner ad management, built in newsletter and much more. Of course the theme is
WordPress 2.7 ready and fix png issues in ie 6. Try using transparent png images in the featured section area for a cool effect.

Just to clarify… If I added widgets to the default sidebar, would the original content still show up afterwards? I’m aware of the issue with themes vs widgets, where the original (or hard-coded) content of the sidebar is completely removed when a widget is added via the admin area, and after a number of other issues hurling roadblocks my way I’m reluctant to add any unless I know for sure that nothing will be lost.

The feeds are only for FeedBurner. I use Google’s Feedburner. Can it be used?

I like the new blue theme!
I’ve tweaked it so it doesn’t display the default thumb for posts with no images.
I think it looks better to avoid repetitive images.
Have a look at simonreeve.com and you’ll see what I mean…

Just checked out your site. Looks great! What exactly did you do to accomplish the no thumbnail when there is no thumbnail instead of the “no thumbnail” image (i think that made sense)? Did you do an “if else” statement?

It is very awesome theme. I want change my blog theme from your Wp-Them.es Blogger Theme to it. But there is slight difference between two themes. It is “NO THUMBNAIL” image. I want not to shown this image like Wp-Them.es Blogger Theme.

Is there a way to hold a post at the top of the page? I think there was a way to do it on your earlier themes, but I can’t find it on the blue and the latest post goes to the top.

2. How to widther the pages (without side bar)?
3. Can you add an “attachment field” at the build in contact form

I still have problem to add an “attachment field” to the build in contact form (i use contact form plugin instead and it still doesn’t work)….
I need that field to accommodated my student assignment (email file attachment)…

Love this theme too! One quick question – any way to make the top menu bar have drop-down level menus as well (like the lower blue 3 level dropdown menu)? I have nested pages and want to show a dropdown for our top menu too…

I completely agree that you have raised the standards of free theme! It’s unlike tthe regular ones
I will use this on our blog, however you need to help me tweak the theme so that it doesn’t display the default thumb for posts with no images.

I asked this weeks ago but my comment appears to have been deleted (either that or the admin hasn’t been online since before i submitted it).
Is the theme AND its sidebar widget ready? By that what i mean is, if I were to add widgets to the sidebar via my admin area, would the hard-coded content still be visible, or would it be overwritten by the widgets?
There are a number of other issues with the theme which need addressed but this is the most urgent for me just now
